Class Description
Stained Glass 200- Foil and Solder- Tiffany style technique Stained Glass Level 100 is a prerequisite for taking this class, or equivalent experience. In this workshop, you'll create a panel from one of two chosen designs. This class includes a toolbox, a roll of foil, and solder. We encourage everyone to buy the tools. The toolbox includes the following items -Glass Cutter -Grozier Pliers -Running Pliers -Pattern shears -Solder -Zinc Came This workshop will last 4.5 hours, including a 30-minute break halfway through the lesson. Please bring lunch or snacks if needed. We have a refrigerator and microwave on site. Please wear closed-toed shoes and pants in the studio. Small class sizes- this class is limited to six people. Class Outline: Introduction Color selection- using professional techniques Review of cutting and grinding glass How to block your design Foil and solder techniques Patina, jump rings and polish the pieces Clean up About the Artist Maribeth brings a unique blend of creativity and expertise to the world of glass artistry, specializing in stained glass and mosaic art. Working with stained glass since the 1990s, she has developed an extraordinary talent for combining color, light, and craftsmanship into stunning, intricate designs. Passionate about both creating and teaching, Maribeth enjoys guiding others through the artistic process—from selecting glass and designing patterns to completing a beautiful finished piece. Whether crafting her own mesmerizing works or helping students discover their creative potential, she finds joy in sharing the magic of glass art.
