Class Description
Celebrate summer with fire and glass! In this fun, beginner-friendly lampworking class, you will be creating three patriotic plant paddles using clear and vibrant red, white, and blue glass. Learn how to safely melt and shape glass in the flame while adding colorful frit and decorative details to create unique garden accents perfect for flower pots, herb gardens, or festive summer décor. Students will make at least two finished firework paddles stakes mounted on stainless steel stems and learn basic torch skills, including gathering, shaping, decorating, and kiln annealing. Every paddle turns out differently, making each piece a one-of-a-kind creation. Whether you are looking for a creative night out or want to try glass art for the first time, this class is designed for complete beginners—no previous glassworking experience required.
