🌟 Kids Glass Casting Class A Two‑Day Creative Adventure in Color, Texture & Imagination In this playful and engaging two‑day workshop, young artists dive into the magical world of glass casting—a process where they design, shape, and transform materials into a one‑of‑a‑kind glass sculpture. Perfect for curious creators, this class blends art, science, and hands‑on exploration in a safe, supportive studio environment. Over two sessions (3 hours each), kids will learn how to build their own small cast‑glass artwork using simple mold‑making techniques and vibrant glass materials. They’ll leave with a finished piece that’s been fired in the kiln and ready to display with pride. 🎨 What Kids Will Learn Day 1 – Designing & Mold Making (3 hours) Kids will: Explore what glass casting is and see examples of finished cast pieces Sketch their idea and choose a simple shape or design Learn how molds work and why they’re used in glass art Build a small refractory mold using kid‑friendly materials (such as clay impressions and plaster mixture) Add texture and details to personalize their design Prepare their mold for filling on Day 2 This day focuses on creativity, tactile learning, and understanding how form becomes a castable shape.
