Evil Eye Glass Plant Stake Workshop

Class Description

In this introductory lampworking class, students will learn the fundamentals of working with molten glass using a torch while creating colorful Evil Eye paddles directly on stainless-steel plant stakes with instruction from glass artist Kasey Larson. This class is designed especially for beginners and provides a fun, approachable way to experience the magic of shaping hot glass for the first time (or the tenth, if you are a glass fan.) Students will be guided step-by-step through torch safety, basic flame control, and how to melt and apply glass to form a smooth round paddle shape. Students will then learn how to layer simple colors to create the classic “Evil Eye” design- an ancient symbol believed to bring protection and good luck. Students will create up to 3 glass plant stakes. All glass, stainless-steel stakes, tools, and safety equipment are included.
