Drawing Class for Adults

Class Description

In this class you will learn the fundamentals of drawing. The materials are provided for the first two classes. We will start with a series of single object still lives and will discuss quality of line , modeling of form (value, contrast etc) , perspective (one and 2 point) and later on composition (focal point, illusion of depth and so on) , hard and soft edges and relationship between positive and negative space as well as the role of the artist as editor of reality. We will be discussing preconceived notions vs accurate observation and problem solving. We will be working with graphite and charcoal pencils and later on , as we will expand our knowledge into color theory we will introduce alcohol markers and color and pastel pencils.
