April 26- One Day Intro to Mosaics

Class Description

If you are looking to make mosaic art but do not know where to start, here is an opportunity to take a beginner’s class that will help! This one-day class will provide thorough instructions and demonstration of micro mosaic technique. By the end of the class, students will create an image of a Red Cardinal using using the Micro Mosaic technique. Instructor Savas Arazbey will demonstrate techniques to cut accurately and easily with a variety of glass cutters. Students will have the opportunity to try their hand at cutting several different types of glass. Many finishing techniques and how to color your group in a rainbow of colors will be discussed. No glass cutting or mosaic experience necessary. All glass and tools will be provided. Class size is limited to 4 students.
